Brickworks Posts AU$123.5 Million Impairment on Austral Masonry, Brickworks North America Units Brickworks (ASX:BKW) recognized a AU$123.5 million non-cash impairment charge in its fiscal 2024 results, comprising AU$54.7 million at its Austral Masonry arm and AU$68.8 million at Brickworks North America, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.Austral Masonry, which provides a collection of masonry blocks, pavers, and retaining walls for residential and commercial construction, was hit by a deterioration in multi-residential building activity in the second half and higher costs of land tax and raw materials, the filing stated.Brickworks North America, which produces and distributes bricks, saw significantly reduced activity in the second half of the fiscal year, with the short to medium-term outlook for non-residential building in Northeast and Midwest US weakened, according to the filing.Brickworks' final results will be released on Sept. 26.Shares in Brickworks fell
